My laptop Usb port won’t recognize my brand new Creative Zen MicroPhoto?
I just purchased a Creative Zen MicroPhoto MP3 player, but my laptop won’t recognize it through the Usb port. When I insert a flash/jump drive it will recognize that, but not the player. When I click on the icon, it says the player is not connected.
The laptop is a 4 year old IBM and have had problems with it reading or recognizing the CDRW/DVD drive. I don’t think it’s the MP3 player as I plugged it into another computer (can’t download the software cause it’s work regulated) and it pops up then. Any help, suggestions, advice is greatly appreciated!!

Your laptop probably has USB 1.0 and the Zen is USB2.0. Some devices are backwards compatible (meaning they work with the older 1.0 standard) and some are not.
