you should get the 2nd one http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0037FO… because it will protect your ipod better and it will not cover the speaker as the speaker is already sealed inside of the ipod. you should get a case because it prevents the ipod from getting scratched and cracked the case will break before the ipod. and it also makes your ipod look cool. no matter what case you get it will not cover the speaker
